I still find some great gems every year when a new NHL soundtrack is released. But I don't think these modern soundtracks are outright bad, but more like mediocre. If you still don't like it, what I can say anything else but music is subjective, and you're most likely just nostalgia biased! Yes, I don't like the modern NHL soundtracks, and wish NHL soundtracks were back to its glory days just as much as the next guy (I'm talking about the NHL 2002-14 era of soundtracks). There's also good old hard rock, punk, metal and alternative music, which are the genres most people in the NHL soundtrack community seems to love! There's a whole bunch of returning artists who have been in previous NHL soundtracks, while also introducing new artists which I think would be perfect for an NHL game! However, there are no returning songs (there has never been returning songs anyways), as I want to make a concept soundtrack of what I think an NHL soundtrack should sound like in 2021! I don't want it to sound exactly like NHL 05-08, but more like an evolution of the good old soundtracks, and not a "devolution", how it actually went. My NHL 22 soundtrack wishlist (or concept soundtrack) is a mix of old and new! While this soundtrack doesn't have hip hop in it (like NHL soundtracks nowadays seems to go for), I do however want Rapcore in the game, which is a mix of rap and metal.
